Barbara joined The CDI Group as an
Associate in 2008, after working for BearingPoint for 10 years
as a Global Meeting Coordinator. At CDI, Barbara manages the
logistics of the CDI seminar programs. Barbara also is also the
manager of the CDI database used to support CDI Clients in the
M&A Practice and the Strategic Succession & Exit Planning
Practice. The CDI database used in support of CDI Clients contains
approximately 50,000 records and, on-average, grows at the rate
of 5,000 -10,000 records per year. The CDI database is an important
element in creating success for CDI Clients.
In 1996 she attended the Studio Theatre School to pursue her
acting career that she had put on hold, and studied acting with
Joy Zinamin the founder of the Studio Theatre in Washington,
DC. Barbara has appeared in several commercials in the Metro
area, among them Kay Jennings Toyota, Signature Swimwear and
The Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria., as well as appearing
in several Industrial films. Barbara also had a leading role
in a local cable film called Recipe for Murder.
Barbara studied acting in New York with Uta Hagen. She traveled
the country with the English play Boeing, Boeing as well as an
original play, Just Fine. Once she started a family she retired
from acting to raise her family in Rye, New York. She and her
family moved to the DC area in 1977.
She is involved in the community working on Race for the Cure
the largest fund raiser for breast cancer in the USA, For the
Love of Children fashion show at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Rubber
Duck Race in DC benefiting Have a Heart and Fairfax County Fire
and Rescue toy drive that benefits needy children in shelters
in the Metro area. She has served on the local board of Child
Help USA that benefits abused children.
Barbara attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and HB Studio
in New York City.
